Tenho os discos todos desta banda que conheci porque Boys of Melody faz parte da banda sonora de Shortbus. "The Man That I Am With My Man" (in The Smell Of Our Own, 2003) foi a inspiração para o endereço do blogue, cujo vídeo não consigo encontrar. Paciência: ficam aqui outros.

Mesmo a rebentar de gente pelas costuras, não me importava nada de estar agora aqui e, desta vez, com o Zé. As fotos são de Fev. de 2005 (com a Margarida, o Francisco, a Valeria, a Kasia e a Tatiana).

O Francisco chamou-me a atenção para a M.I.A. (Mathangi Maya Arulpragasam) que já tinha visto na MTV mas a quem não tinha prestado muito atenção. Agora, graças ao Francisco, parei nas letras e nas músicas desta garota com origens em Ceilão (Sri-Lanka) - é filha de um activista Tamil.
Eu lembrei-me que o Brama andou (anda?) fascinado por Bollywood (cf. aqui e aqui), por isso dedico-lhe estas músicas que não têm nada a ver com o delico-doce de Sridevi, Asha Bhosle ou Lata Mangeshkar. M.I.A está muito à frente, se não reparem bem no estilo. Vale a pena irem à página dela no MySpace: ironia pura e dura, maciça mesmo. Sobre ela podem ler também no *Xuac Xuac*.
